MUNNSVILLE - Anthony Rizzo, 74, of West Road, died late Wednesday evening 
Jan. 12, 2000, at the Oneida Healthcare Center, following a long illness. 
Mr. Rizzo was born on Nov. 25, 1925, in Oneida, the son ofVito and Mary 
Panzica Rizzo. 
He was a graduate of Oneida High School. During the years of 1942 to 1945 Mr.
Rizzo served with the U.S. Marine Corps during  War II. He served with the 
4th Marine Division during the battles of Tinian, lwo Jima, and Saipan. 
Mr. Rizzo was employed with the City of Oneida for 20 years as a maintenance 
supervisor with the Oneida City Parks and Recreation Department until his 
retirement in 1990. 
He was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Joseph's Church of Oneida. 
Mr. Rizzo was a member of the American Legion Post No. 169 of Oneida and the 
Owls Club. 
Surviving are his Fiancee, Marion Jacobs of MunnsviUe; one son, Michael 
Anthony Rizzo of Sherrill; one daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and William 
Blizzard of Kingston, Pa.; two sisters, Lucia "Betty" Rizzo of Oneida and 
Mary Rogers of Detroit; three brothers, Vito Rizzo of Rome, James Rizzo of 
Victorville, Calif, and Philip Rizzo of Oneida; five grandchildren; and 
several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
