ANSELM ZABELE died at his home, a short distance west of the city (Oneida) on Sunday night, of the grip, 
in the 72d year of his age.  Deceased was a native of Germany, but migrated to America half a century 
ago, coming over with George Rouer of this city. For the past quarter of a century his residence has 
been in the house where he died. He was twice married and his second wife survives him, as do also five 
children; JOSEPH, ALBERT, GEORGE, and FRED ZABELE, and Miss MARY ZABELE, all residents of this immediate
vicinity.  One sister, Mrs. WILLEY of Rottersdam, N.Y. also survived him.  The funeral occurred 
yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late residence, Rev. L. Bane, pastor of the M Church, 
officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery at Wampsville.
