Bernice A. Fish, 94, formerly of Hazel Carpenter Home, died early Friday
afternoon, July 16, 1999, in the Extended Care Facility of the Oneida Health-
care Center, where she had been a patient for the past four years.
She was born in Vernon on Oct. 12 1904, the daughter of Philip J. and
Elizabeth Snyder Agne.
Mrs. Fish was a lifelong resident of the area.
She was a graduate of the Oswego Normal Teachers Collage. She married I.
Daniel Fish on Aug. 3,1937, in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Churchville. Mr.
Fish died in February of 1967.
At one time, Mrs. Fish taught in Lowville and Oneida schools. She was a
member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Silver Star Chapter No. 21, and was
of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert A. Fish of Oneida
and David L. and Jamie Fish of Valle Crucis, N.C.; one daughter and son-in-
law, Carolyn and John Cady of LaPalma, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, Tricia
Isham, Craig Fish, Lisa Fish, Pamela Strobnick, Janet Sarensky, Alex Fish,
Stephen Fish, Logan Buck, John Cady and Wendy Cady; six great-grand-
children; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son,
Charles N. Fish, in 1961.
