  Bertha M. 'Bea' (Ahles) Fazio, 83, beloved wife of Carroll Fazio of Peabody, Mass., died Friday 
evening, Sept. 1, 2000 at the Rosewood Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Peabody following a 
long illness. 
  She was born on Feb. 15, 1917 in Rome, the daughter of the late George and Mamie (Doty) Ahles. She 
lived in the upper New York State area for most of her life, mostly in Oneida, N.Y. She moved to Peabody 
within the last two years to be close to her family. 
  Mrs. Fazio was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Oneida, where she was involved with 
the Ladies Guild, The A.A.R.P. and was a longtime volunteer at Oneida City Hospital. 
  Surviving are her husband, Carroll Fazio, with whom she shared 61 memorable years of marriage; one 
daughter and son-in-law, Carleen and Bruce Eddy of Peabody, Mass.; one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas 
and Theresa Fazio of Stamford, Conn.; four granchhildren, Christine Fazio of New York City, Stephen Fazio
of Binghamton, N.Y., Pjilip Eddy and Paul Eddy both of Peabody; one great-grandson, Gregory of Peabody. 
She was also blessed with an extended family of several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren 
and several nieces and nephews and other relatives and dear friends who will certainly miss 'Bea' as she 
was affectionately known.
