  Carl A. Frank 
  Mr. Carl A. Frank, 80 years, of Peterboro Rd., passed away Saturday even-
ing, March 15, 1997, at the VA Medical Center, Syracuse, NY, following a 
brief illness. 
  He was born April 9, 1916 in Utica, NY, the son of Frederick and Isabella 
Tuttle Frank. He married the former Elizabeth Wadsworth Griffin Torrey on 
November 29, 1977 in Rushville, NY. She predeceased him on March 19, 1996. 
Mr. Frank had served with the U.S. Army during WW II as a heavy equipment 
instructor at Ft. Belvoir, VA. He was a lifelong resident of Peterboro. 
  Mr. Frank was a 30 year member of the New York Pioneer Gas Engine Assoc. 
and a member of the Peterboro Historical Society and Museum, where he served 
as Director from 1975 to 1988. He was also a train enthusiast. 
  Surviving are several nieces and nephews, step-children, and step-grand-
children. He was predeceased by two brothers, George and Frederick Frank, 
and a sister, Mildred Valliancourt. 
  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 1997 at 2 PM from 
the Barker-Burgess Funeral Home, Cedar St., Morrisville, NY with Rev. 
Jeffrey Aiosa, pastor of the Peterboro United Methodist Church officiating. 
  Burial will be in the Peterboro Cemetery. 
  Contributions may be made in his memory to the Smithfield Fire Department, 
PO Box 115, Peterboro, NY 13134.
