                         Charles J. Sgroi 
 Charles John "Charlie" Sgroi, 67, of 104 S. Main St., Canastota, died Sunday
at University Hospital. Born in Canastota, he graduated from Canastota High 
School. He retired in 1992 after 35 years as a technician at Carrier Corp. He
was a member of St. Agatha's Church, the Carrier Retirees Club and the Senior
Citizens Club of Canastota and a fourth-degree member of Knights of Columbus 
Council 473 of Oneida. Survivors: His wife the former, Nancy Tornatore; two  
daughters, Debbie Tyler of Oneida and Denise Tianello of Canastota; a son, 
Charles of Canastota; a sister, Mary Pulverenti of Canastota; a brother, Sam 
of Canastota; six grandchildren. Services: 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at Campbell-
Dean Funeral Home and 9:30 in St. Agatha's Church. Burial, St. Agatha's 
Cemetery, Canastota. Calling hours, 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 
300 South Peterboro St., Canastota. Contributions: Charles J. Sgroi
