  Dorothy Parker Franchell 
  Dorothy Parker Franchell, 74, formely of 436 Washington Ave., died early 
Thursday morning, Oct. 26, 1999, in the Rome Nursing Home, where she had been
a patient for the past two months. 
  She was born on Dec. 7, 1924, in Oneida, the daughter of George A. and 
Viola Keyser Parker. She was a lifelong resident of the Oneida area. Mrs. 
Franchell was a graduate of Oneida High School. 
  She married William H. Franchell on Sept. 1, 1942, in New York City. Mr. 
Franchell died on May 13, 1977. 
  Mrs. Franchell was formerly a member of the Oneida City Democratic 
Committee and was of the Protestant faith. 
  Surviving are four sons, William T. Franchell, George P. Franchell and 
James S. Franchell, all of Oneida and Robert A. Franchell of Canastota; one 
daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Arthur Roy of Orlando Fla; seven grand-
children, Jonathan, Aubrey and Brian Franchell, Alexandria Franchell, 
Christopher Barbano, Desiree Franchell and William Arturs; two great-grand-
children, Lisa and Thomas Barbano; and several nieces and nephews. 
She was predeceased by a sister, Marian Parker Tkatch.
