  Mrs. Edith Egleston, 82, of Mt. Hope Ave. died Wednesday at Oneida City Hospital after a long illness. 
  Born Dec. 19, 1877, at Verona, she was the daughter of Jonathan and Ha(nnah) Brownell. She had been 
a resident of Oneida for the past (55) years. 
  Her husband, Ebenezer Egleston, died in 1930. 
  She is survived by three sons, Walter A., Syracuse; Glenn A., Oneida, with whom she resided; and Earl 
E. Egleston, Oneida; a sister. Mrs. Susan Slatzman, San Diego, Calif.; (11) grandchildren, one 
great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. 
  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, 260 Main St. 
Church arrangements are incomplete. Burial will be made in Verona cemetery. 
  Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
