Esther Esch, 74, of 3922 State Route 26 died early Saturday evening, Aug.
28, 1999 at St. Lukes-Memorial Hospital New Hartford.
Esther was born Oct. 12, 1924 in Westmoreland, the daughter of Arthur and
Laura Thurston Wandle.
She was a graduate of Vernon High School and on Aug. 17, 1943 in Vernon she
married Everett Esch.
Esther was a nurses' aid for many years, having worked at the former Oneida
City Hospital and in later years with the former Maple Park Home of Vernon
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Vernon Center.
Surviving are her husband; two sons and daughters-inlaw, Thomas and
Priscilla Esch of Taos, New Mexico and William and Carol Esch of Hartwood,
Va., two daughters, Bonnie Richlin of Vernon Center and Deborah Esch of
Cambridge, N.Y.; one sister, Edith Wilson of Munnsville; seven grandchildren;
one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Esther was predeceased by
a son, Terry in 1970.
