  Oneida -- Emma M. Chesebro, 92, formerly of Oneida Towers, died Friday morning, Oct. 26, 2001 in the 
Emergency Room of Rome Hospital, shortly after her admission from the Betsy Ross Nursing Facility, 
where she had resided since July 3, 2001. 
  She was born on May 12, 1909 in Oneida, the daughter of George and Myrtle Everett Butler. A lifelong 
resident of Oneida, Mrs. Chesebro was educated in Oneida schools. 
  She married Harold H. Chesebro, Sr. in 1928 in Oneida. Mr. Chesebro died on March 14, 1979. 
  Mrs. Chesebro was of the Methodist faith. 
  Surviving are seven sons and six daughters-in-law, Harold and Ellie Chesbro, Jr., Frank and Marcelle 
Chesebro, William and Clara Chesebro, and Arthur and Dawn Chesebro, all of Oneida, Rev. James and 
Barbara Chesebro of Tulsa, Okla, Ronald Chesebroof Canastota and Thomas and Rose Chesebro of Blossvale; 
five daughters and two sons-in-law, Ruth Congden of Canastota, Georgianna and Irving Seamon and Beverly 
and Joseph Donlon, all of Oneida, Myrtle Chesebro and Linda Chesebro, both of Rome; numerous grand-
children, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a 
son, Harry Chesebro in 1993, two daughters, Matildred Cronin in 1991 and Rosalie Ann Chesebro in 1996, 
four brothers, William, Harry, George, and Arthur Butler and one sister, Eleanor Hewitt.
