Mrs. Edna May Murfit Hilts

 Durhamville- Mrs.Edna May Hilts, 62, of Jug Point Rd. was pronounced dead on arrival yesterday morning 
at the Oneida City Hospital, after being stricken at her home. Born in Vernon Center July 19, 1909, she 
was the daughter of John and Blanche Wilcox Murfit. 

 She had been a resident of Durhamville for the last three years coming from Verona. She was married to 
Irving Hilts in 1930 at the First Methodist Church, Oneida. 

 Surviving besides her husband are five sons, Bernard of Vernon, William, Eugene and Ronald all of 
Durhamville and Richard of Ohio; three daughters Mrs. Elwood (Judy) Durant of Verona, Mrs. Richard 
(Betty) Deraway of New London, and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Wilcox of Durhamville; three sisters Mrs. Florence 
Moot of Oneida, Mrs. Mildred Gilbert of Richfield Springs, and Mrs. Bessie Hull of Oneida.; 30 
grandchidren, 1 g-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Two sons, Dicin died March 17 1966, and 
Francis Hilts died Oct 22,1950.
