Florence Kordus, 90, of 4049 The Trail, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 29,
1999, in Community General Hospital, Syracuse, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Kordus was born on Nov. 2, 1908, in Cassel, Wis., the daughter of
Charles and Ross Fons Kordus. She had moved to Oneida in January of 1999
coming from Detroit, Mich, and had been a resident of East Side Manor Adult
Home in Fayetteville since April of this year.
Mrs. Kordus was employed as an assembler with General Motors Corporation
in Detroit, Mich., for 40 years, retiring in 1969.
She was a former member of St Peter's Church in Detroit.
Surviving are one daughter-in-law, Betty J. Kordus of Oneida; two brothers,
Louis Kordus of Farmington Hills, Mich. and Theodore Kordus of Palm Springs
Fla; seven grandchildren,Michael Kordus of Yardley, Pa, Karen Eisaman of
Oneida, Kimberly Johnson of Henryville, Ind., Mark Kordus of Greenwood, S,C.,
Zachary Kordus of Oneida, Louis Kordus II of Mountain View, Calif, and Steven
Kordus of Poughkeepsie; and six great-grandchildren, Mrs. Kordus was
predeceased by one son, Louis Kordus, on Oct. 17, 1991.
