Gervase C. Pratt
Died at 6:30p.m., Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Stowell of
Canastota, after a long illness. He went there six days ago when stricken
with a heart condition. He was born at Pine Woods 69 years ago, son of Roy
and Emogene Tucker Pratt. Forty-three years ago he married the former
Elizabeth Damon, who survives. He was a farmer in the Morrisville area all
his life, the last 14 years in North street. Surviving besides his wife are
four sons, Gerald of Oneida, Roy and Stanford at home and Pvt. Wells Pratt,
overseas, three daughters Mrs. Claude Johnston of Morrisville, Mrs. Stowell
and Mrs. Edwin Crandall of Syracuse and two sisters, Mrs. Cassie Tooke
and Mrs. Charles Culter, both of Munnsville. Services will be conducted at 2
p.m. Friday at the Pratt home in North street. Burial will be in the
Morrisville cemetery.
