Gertrude K. Wylie
Gertrude K. Wylie, 76, of 400-207 Lamb Ave., died Wednesday, Oct. 27,
1999, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, following a brief illness.
She was born on Feb. 27, 1923, in Brooklyn, the daughter of Charles and
Anna Young Kueffner.
Mrs. Wylie had lived on Long Island most of her life, graduating from
Jamaica High School in 1940. She had lived in Canastota for the past 16
She had worked for Braun Seafood Distributors in Cutchogue, Long Island,
retiring in 1983.
Mrs. Wylie had been a member of the Canastota Conservation Club.
She was of the Protestant Faith.
Mrs. Wylie married Charles F. Loewe on July 6, 1941, on Long Island. Mr.
Loewe died on Aug. 6, 1965. She had later married Edward C. Wylie.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith A. and Lester Long of
Rio Rancho, N.M. and Jill K. and Richard A. Long of Canastota; four grand-
children; and many good friends.
