George T. Gregory
(July 9, 1924 - 1974)
DURHAMVILLE -- George T. Gregory, 49, of Main St., was pronounced dead on arrival at the Oneida City
Hospital last evening from injuries sustained when he was struck by an automobile in Verona Beach.
Born in Durhamville July 9, 1924, he was the son of Floyd and Alma Wood Gregory. He was a lifelong
resident of Durhamville.
Mr. Gregory was employed as a carpenter.
He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Oneida and the Durhamville Veterans Club. He was a
veteran of World War II, serving with the Army in the campaigns of North Africa, Italy and France.
Surviving are two brothers, Robert and William Gregory, both of Durhamville; two sisters, Mrs. Henry
(Alice) Lohr of Point Rock and Mrs. Neil (Shirley) Hilts of Canastota; and several nieces and nephews.
