 Oneida - Hazel Hazard Church, 99, formerly of 262 Williams St., died 
Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at the Extended Care Facility of the Healthcare 
Center, after being a patient there since June 27, 1995. 
 She was born on June 16, 1900, in Madison, NY, the daughter of Perry O. and 
Eva Collister Hazard. 
 She married Benjamin H. Church on July 28, 1920, in Durhamville. Mr. Church 
died Feb. 13, 1962. 
 Mrs. Church lived most of her life in the Eaton, Munnsville, Stockbridge 
area. She was a former Sherrill Grange member and served as a muscian for 
the Grange. 
 Mrs. Church was active in volunteer work for the former Rome State School 
for many years. 
 She had been a resident of Oneida for the past 50 years. 
 Mrs. Church was a member of St.Paul's United Methodist Church of Oneida. 
 Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Adelaide and Arthur Peckham of 
Oneida; two grandchildren, Linda and Charles Rich of Orlando, Fla.; and 
Benjamin and Suzane Peckham of Rochester; three great-grandchildren, 
Michael and Arthur Rich of Florida and Benjamin Peckham Jr. of Rochester; 
one nephew, Sheldon and Helen Loucy of Oneida. She was predeceased by two 
sisters, Harriet Loucy and Mildred Hazard.
