Joyce B. Yemam 
  Joyce B. Yeman, 70, 504 Fairview Ave., died Sunday evening, April 4, 1999, in 
Oneida Healthcare Center, where she had beem a medical patient for the past six 
days, following a lengthy illness. 
  She was born on April 21, 1928, in Clockville, the daughter of Frank and Lila 
Burleson Betsinger. 
  She was a lifelong resident of the area, having been rasied on the family farm. Mrs. 
Yeman was a graduate and class valedictorian of Stockbridge Vally Central School 
and later graduated from the Central City Business Institute. 
  She married Lyle F. Yeman on June 29, 1963, in Oneida. 
  At one time, Mrs. Yeman was employed in the sales offices of Oneida Ltd. She also 
sold flowers and baked goods at the various farmers' markets in Oneida, Hamilton 
and Syracuse. 
  Mrs. Yeman was a member of the Cochran Memorial Presbyterian Church, where 
she supervised the church nursery. She was active as a group leader for the various 
4-H Clubs and the clubs' gardening programs. She also taught accordion throughout 
the area. 
  Surviving are her husband; one son, Hugh F. Yeman of Oneida; one daughter, Joy 
L. Yeman of Canastota; one brother, Frank Betsinger of Rochester and several nieces 
and nephews.
