  CANASTOTA -- (CS) -- John Haas, 57, of 213 Lewis St., Canastota, died last night after a six-month 
illness. 
 
  He was born in Colina, Ohio, Nov. 11, 1902, the son of Charles and Elizabeth Gravius Haas. 
 
  He had employed at Henney Motor Co. for 16 years, retiring six months ago due to poor health. He never 
married. 
 
  Surviving are four brothers, Adolph of El Re(n)o, Okla., Charles and Julius of Canastota, Herbert of 
Bridgewater, Mass.; seven sisters, Mrs. Olga Chapman of Chicago, Mrs. Edith Gambel of Calumet, Okla., 
Mrs. Elizabeth Brown of Pahokee, Fla., Mrs. Emma Rurdo, Mrs. Hilda Woods and Mrs. Flora Babcock of 
Canastota, and Mrs. Viola Gorman of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews. 
 
  Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Canastota, with the Rev. 
George W. C()lch of the First Methodist Church of Canastota officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant 
Cemetery, Canastota. 
 
  Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday night and Friday afternoon and evening at their 
convenience.
