  John H. Dwyer 
  John H. Dwyer, 66, 223 Tenth Ave., died Thursday evening, Aug. 5, 1999, in 
the  Oneida Healthcare Center, where he had been a medical patient for the 
past week. 
  He was born on March 29, 1933, in Sylvan Beach, the son of John H. and 
Hazel Williams Dwyer, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of the Sylvan Beach 
area. Mr. Dwyer was educated in the Oneida schools. He married Irene Oliver 
on May 15, 1954 in Oneida. 
  Prior to his retirement, due to a disability, Mr. Dwyer was employed with 
the New York State Department of Transportation-Divison of Canals. 
  He was a life member of the Sylvan Beach Fire Department and was of the 
Catholic faith. 
  Surviving are his wife; one son and daughter-in-law, John H. and Jennifer 
Dwyer III of Oneida; one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Riley Baker of 
North Bay; three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Betty) Hilliker of Verona Beach, Mrs. 
Bernard (Jean) Salerno and Mrs. Robert (Linda) Vanderworken, both of Sylvan 
Beach; seven grandchildren, Shan Baker, Tanya Baker, Carrie Shannon, 
Christopher Fanning, Thomas Dwyer, Nicole Dwyer and Timothy Dwyer and several
nieces and nephews.
