  Joseph H. Harrington 
  Joseph H. Harrington, 72, 200 Williams St., died Wednesday morning, Nov. 
10, 1999 in the Extended Care Facility of the Oneida Healthcare Center, where
he had been a patient for the past three and-one half years. 
  He was born on Dec. 18, 1926, in Oneida, the son of Leon J. and H. Mildred 
Van Curen Harrington. A lifelong resident of Oneida, Mr. Harrington was a 
graduate of Oneida High School. He married Dorothy Williams on Sept. 15, 1946
in Oneida Castle. 
 Prior to his retirement, Mr. Harrington was employed as a foreman with the 
Oneida Limited, Silversmiths and for 21 years was employed with Vernon Downs.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Sherrill Post 860, the 
American Legion Sherrill Post 230, the Community Associated Clubs, the Oneida
Limited Retirement Club, was a former member of the Oneida Jaycees, and 
taught Sunday school. 
  Mr. Harrington was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United 
States Navy in the Pacific Theatre. 
  Surviving are his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond J. Harring-
ton and his wife, Nancy Berry and Peter J. and Linda Harrington, all of 
Oneida; one daughter and son-in-law, Edith Ann and Paul James of Oneida; two 
half brothers, Robert Dixon of Chittenango and Frank John Dixon of Sandy 
Creek; one half sister, Wilma Eaton of Durhamville; six grandchildren, 
Christy Stamp, Cathleen Harrington, Paul James, Cynthia Harrington, David 
James and Patricia Harrington; eight great-grandchildren, Andrew Harrington, 
Ashley, Eryc, Nathan and Alexander James, Sean and Emily Stamp, and James 
Michael Harrington; and several nieces and nephews.
