SHERRILL — Jane H.Osier, 79, of 248 E. Seneca St., died Sunday evening, May 
9, 1999, in the Oneida Healthcare Center emergency room, shortly after her 
admission. 
 
She was born on Feb. 22, 1920, in Hamilton, the daughter of Claude and Mattie 
Ford Howe. 
 
Mrs. Osier moved to the area when she was in her teens, and graduated from 
Sherrill High School. 
 
She married Donald Osier on June 28, 1941, in St. Helena's Church in 
Sherrill. Mr. Osier died Dec. 5, 1988. 
 
Prior to her retirement in 1982, Mrs. Osier was employed with Oneida Ltd. She 
was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Sherrill Post No. 230, the 
Oneida Limited Retirement Club and the Community Associated Clubs. 
 
Mrs. Osier was of the Catholic faith. 
 
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, James B. and Karen Osier of 
Dallas, George M. and Susan Osier of Syracuse and Charles W. and Donna Osier 
of Vernon; one daughter, Jeanne M. Cahill of Oneida; eight grandchildren and 
several nieces and nephews.
