    John L. Lemery 
 John L. Lemery, 68, of Rocks Road died on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999 at St. Elizabeth's 
Hospital, Utica, following a brief illness.  
 He was born on Oct. 5, 1930 in Oneida, the son of Howard and Ruth Nolan Lemery. 
 Mr. Lemery graduated from the Oriskany Falls High School in 1949. After high school he 
entered the Merchant Marines. 
 On July 25, 1953, in St. Joseph's Church in Oriskany Falls, he married Teresa Reilly.  
 Mr. Lemery was an operating engineer with Syracuse Local No. 545, retiring in 1990. 
 He was also  known as a craftsman, building replica sailboats. Mr. Lemery was a member 
of the Kelley - Phillips Post of the American Legion, Oriskany Falls and a member of the 
Oneida Lake Sailing Club. 
 Surviving are his wife; his mother of Knoxboro; three daughters, Deborah Hill of Earville, 
Karen Murphy of Lincoln City, Ore. and Gayle Lutes of Newburgh, Ore.; one son, David 
Lemery of Waterville; two brothers William Lemery of Waterville and Arthur Lemery of  
Lebanon; one sister, Lois Roberts of Vernon; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and 
serveral nieces and nephews.
