  Joan S. Taylor 
 
  Joan S. Taylor, 54, of RR No. 1, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999 at her home. 
  She was born on Dec. 15, 1944 in Canastota, the daughter of Maurice and 
Lenora Burgdoff Snyder. 
  Mrs. Taylor had lived in the Canastota and Oneida area all of her life. She
was educated in the Canastota schools. 
  Mrs. Taylor had worked for Rome Developmental Center for 12 years, and 
later had worked as a Sergeant in the Madison County Sheriff's Department, 
Wampsville, for nine years. 
  Mrs. Taylor was of the Protestant faith. 
  She married Karl R. Taylor on July 4, 1987 in Wampsville. 
  Surviving are her husband; two sons William Butler of Oneida and Lyle Jack-
son of Munnsville; one daughter, Roxanne Nazel of Munnsville; three brothers 
and one sister-in-law, David Snyder of Canastota, John and Nancy Snyder of 
Oneida and Darwin Snyder of El Cajon, Calif.; one sister Betty Shaw of Chula 
Vista, Calif.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. 
Taylor was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth Snyder and Richard Snyder.
