  Louise C. Bilby 
  Louise C. Bilby, 78, of Sockbridge Hill Road, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, 
at her home, after a brief illness. 
  She was born on Dec. 25, 1920, in Boonville, the daughter of Ward and Mary 
Price King. She graduated from Boonville High School and, for a time, worked 
at Sheffield Farms and Blankman's 5 & 10, both a Boonville. 
  In December of 1944, she married James Bilby, in South Carolina. Mr. Bilby 
died on Nov. 25, 1982. The couple lived in the Syracuse area  for many years,
where for 10 years, Louise was a bus driver for Fayetteville-Manlius Schools. 
  In 1986, she moved to the Oneida area and worked at the Senior Nutrition 
Site in Canastota, delivering meals to senior citizens. For 30 years, Mrs. 
Bilby raised and showed English Springer Spaniels for which she was world 
renowed. Louise also judged all breeds and had an excellent reputation 
with the A.K.C. 
  Mrs. Bilby was president of the the Onondaga Kennel Club for 20 years and 
Oneida Lake Spinger Spaniel Club for 15 years. She was a member of the 
Eastern Springer Spaniel Club. Louise was also active in St. Theresa's 
Church, Munnsville. 
  Surviving are one daughter, Rosemary McDevitt of Scituate, Mass.; one son, 
Steven Bilby of Syracuse; three grandchildren; one sister Jeanne Brigges of 
Adams Center. She was predeceased by three sisters, Margaret Malcolm, Frances 
Baker and Gertrude Reed.
