  Lillian E. Kimball, 75, of Vidler Rd., passed away Saturday, August 28, 
1999, at her home with her family by her side. 
  She was born April 28, 1924, in Palermo, NY, the daughter of the late Frank
and Anna Fogt Barnes, and was a graduate of Mexico Academy and Central 
School. In 1947, in Maryland, she married Melvin J. Kimball. He passed away 
in 1973. For many years Mrs. Kimball was a nurse's aid with the Madison 
County Department of Health, Wampsville, retiring in 1994. 
  She was a devoted mother and grandmother and was much loved by all her 
relatives and friends. Mrs. Kimball was affectionately known as "Gram" to 
everyone who knew her. 
  She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Daniel 
O'Brian of Hamilton; Sharon and Al Hill of Brookfield; and Nancy and Frank 
Lamaitis of Waterville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Kimball of 
Plattsburgh, and Dennis and JoAnn Kimball of North Carolina; a step-daughter
and her husband, Lois and Carl Snow of Clayville; a step-son and his wife, 
Melvin, Jr., and Katie Kimball of Oswego; one sister Theresa Sherman of 
Liverpool; two brothers, Francis Barnes and Kenneth Barnes, both of Central 
Square; many grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and 
nephews. She was predeceased by a stepson, Harold Kimball; one sister, Gladys
Green; and two brothers, Fred and Floyd Barnes. 
  The funeral was held Monday, August 31 at the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz 
Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, with the Rev. Richard J. Kapral 
officiating.
