Lucy G. Keith 
  Lucy G. Keith, 77, of Keith Road, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at St. 
Luke's Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. 
  She was born on Jan. 31, 1922, in Brookfield, the daughter of Merlyn and 
Minnie Wratten Putnam. She was a graduate of Brookfield Central School. 
  On May 9, 1939, she married Glade A. Keith in Syracuse. 
  For many years she worked at the day-care center for the Cooperative 
Extension of Morrisville. 
  She was a person who put others before herself. She was a foster mother who 
helped more than 45 children. 
  She had been a leader of the Green and White Grofer's 4-H Club of 
Brookfield for more than 30 years. 
  Mrs. Keith was a member of the North Brookfield Baptist Church. 
  Surviving are her husband; three daughters and two sons in-law, Sylvia 
Bonafield of North Brookfield, Susan and Rand Gray of Leonardsville, and 
Vickie Keith and Mike Lown of North Brookfield; two sons and daughters-in-
law, Ralph and Diana Keith of North Brookfield, and Mike Sr. and Jodi Keith 
of North Brookfield; 12 grandchildren; threegreat-grandsons and several 
nieces and nephews.
