      Minnie B. Kimball 
  Minnie B. Kimball, 93, formerly of Oneida Towers and 225 Stoddard St., died Tuesday 
morning, Aug. 3, 1999 in the Rome nursing home, where she had been a resident for the 
past two months.  
  She was born on March 21, 1906 in Oneida, the daughter of James and Mattie Phillips 
  She was a lifelong resident of Oneida. Mrs. Kimball was educated in the Oneida schools.  
  She married Guy V. Kimball on Dec. 30, 1922, in Oneida. Mr. Kimball died on Nov. 11, 
  Prior to her retirement in 1970, Mrs. Kimball was employed with the H.L. Green Company, 
formerly located in Oneida.  
  She was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, Oneida Chapter No. 
3328, the Retired Seniors Volunteer Persons Program (RSVP), the Towers Card Club, and 
the former Hilda's Handmade Shoppe. 
  Mrs. Kimball was of the Methodist faith. 
  Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Richard J. and Marion Kimball Sr. of Piedmont, 
S.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Louis Salerno of Oneida; one son-in-law, Phillip 
Shurtleff of Groton; one brother Willis J. Farrington of Mentor, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Frederick 
(Florence) Deringer and Mrs. Clarence (Emma) Southfield, both of Oneida; 12 grandchildren, 
Jeffery Salerno, Kevin Salerno, Denise Winne, Scott Kimball, Richard Kimball Jr., Joel Kimball,  
Sandra Niles, Julie Geremski, James Shurtleff, Michael Shurtleff, Lee Shurtleff and Lisa 
Shurtleff; 15 great-grandchidren and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Norma Shurtleff 
died in May of 1995.
