CANASTOTA - Marvin Dalton Sr., 69, of 520 State Street, died Thursday, Feb. 
10, 2000, at his home, following a lengthy illness. 

He was born on Feb. 15, 1930, in Summersville, W. Va., the son of Isaac and 
Veta Holcomb Dalton. 

Marvin had spent his early years in West Virginia and later lived in Colorado for 
many years, and in California. He had lived in Canastota since 1980. 

Mr. Dalton had owned and operated Canastota Taxi for more than 15 years, 
retiring in 1998. 

Marvin had been a member of the American Legion Charles Miller Post No. 140 
of Canastota. 

Surviving are four children; three sisters, Irene Pierson of Summersville, 
W. Va., Pauline Gaublome of Monongahela, Pa. and Velma Riffle of Greensboro, 
N.C.; several nieces and nephews, including Orlene Piccini of Aliquippa, Pa. 
Marvin was predeceased by a son, a daughter, a brother and a sister.
