  Mary D. Garrison 
  Mary D. Garrison, 84, formerly of Verona and Oneida, died Thursday evening,
Sept. 30, 1999, in the Sullivan Adult Care Center, Liberty, where she had 
resided for the past nine years. 
  Born in Oneida, on May 31, 1915, she was the daughter of Joseph and 
Gertrude Doran Dunne. Mrs. Garrison was educated in the Oneida schools. 
  She married Merton C. Garrison in St. Patrick's Church, Oneida, on Feb. 19,
1944. Mr. Garrison died on June 30, 1966. 
  While residing in Verona, Mrs. Garrison was a Communicant of St. Francies 
Church, Durhamville, where she also served as the president of the church's 
Altar-Rosary Society. While residing in Oneida, she was a Communicant of 
St. Patrick's Church. 
  Surviving are two sons, Michael C. Garrison of Rogersville, Tennessee and 
Merton J. Garrison of Port Orchard, Washington; two daughters and sons-in-
law, Maureen and Andrew Christian of Liberty, and Mary and Alfred Baker of 
Utica; two sisters, Mrs. George (Catherine) Smith of Oneida and Mrs. Carl 
(Bernice) French of Sherrill; eight grandchildren, one one great-grandchild; 
and several nieces and nephews. A son, Matthew C. Garrison, died on July 2, 1963.
