  Robert A. Wilcox 
  SHERRILL - Robert A. Wilcox, 73, of 427 W. Hamilton Ave. and a former 
Sherrill City Court Judge, died late Sunday evening, Sept. 19, 1999, at the 
Oneida Healthcare Center, after being stricken at home. 
  Bob was born March 5, 1926, in Oneida, the son of Walter and Kathleen 
Garvin Wilcox. 
  He was a graduate of Oneida High School, Syracuse University and the New 
York School of Law where he was honored as Law Review. 
  During World War II, Bob proudly served his country with the 3rd Marine 
Corps in the Pacific Theater on the Islands of Truck and Guam as well as the 
invasion of Iwo Jima. 
 On Dec. 18, 1954, in St. Mary's Church of Glens Falls, he was united in 
marriage with the former Cynthia Taft. 
  He and his brother, William, joined their father in the law firm of Wilcox 
and Wilcox, a union he enjoyed until his death. 
  Mr. Wilcox was a member of St. Helena's Church of Sherrill, where he was 
active as a lector. 
  He was a former member and past president of the Sherrill Rotary Club. Also
a former member of the Madison County Bar Association and an assistant Oneida
County Attorney. Bob was an avid golfer in the Sherrill area and belonged to 
the Senior Golf League of the Community Golf Course. 
  Surviving are his wife, who was also his best friend; two daughters and 
sons-in-law, Susan and Paul Braden of Kent, Ohio, Sarah and Craig Kinzer of 
Chicago; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Rebecca Wilcox of 
Minneapolis and Stephen Wilcox of San Francisco; one brother, William Wilcox 
of Oneida; two sisters, Anne Hahn of New Hartford and Mary Lou Morehouse of 
NashviUe, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Sara Both and Olivia Braden, Anna Wilcox 
Kinzer, Sydney, Zachary and Emma WUcox; and several nieces and nephews.
