  Rena B. Franklin 
  Rena B. Franklin, 91, formerly of Oneida Towers, died Tuesday morning, Oct.
19, 1999, in the Lewis County General Hospital Nursing Facility, where she 
had been a resident for the past four and one-half years. 
  She was born on Dec. 25, 1907, in Oneida, the daughter of George and Cora 
Lowe Clark. 
  She was a resident of Oneida for most of her life, she was educated in the 
Oneida schools. 
  Her first husband, Thomas Franklin, died in July of 1943. She later married
Joseph Franklin, who died in 1972. 
  Mrs. Franklin was a member of the Ladies of the Owls, Oneida Nest 2210 and 
was of the Presbyterian faith. 
  Surviving are one son, Kenneth Franklin of Oneida; three daughters, Hazel 
J. Miller of Lowville, Violet Franklin of Herkimer and Rena Schmidtka of 
Oneida; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
