  Robert H. Elmer, 84, of Bolivar Road, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at the Hallmark Nursing Center in 

  He was born in Erieville on Aug. 28, 1915, the son of Albert and Bessie Moore Elmer.

  He was a resident of Chittenango for 50 years, moving to Minoa two years ago.

  Mr. Elmer was a mechanic for many years with the former Leaseway Trucking Co. of Syracuse, retiring in 

  A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Elmer was a member of the William Cain American Legion Post 
1287 in Chittenango. He was a retired member of the Teamsters Local No. 317 in Syracuse and was a past 
member of several bowling leagues in Chittenango. 

  Surviving are four daughters, Karen A. Lawyer of Kirkville, Patricia A. Olmstead and Barbara L. Dwyer 
of Chittenango and Cathy Todeschini of Lakeland; two brothers, Clifford Elmer of Colorado and William 
Elmer of Cortland; two sisters, Katherine Pynn of Wampsville and Marie Southerland of Madison; 10 
grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
