  Roy K. Lindley, 89, of Cobb Street, died Friday afternoon, April 16, 1999, 
at his residence, following an illness. 
  He was born on Nov. 2, 1909, in Canastota, the son of Horace and Cora Hoose
Lindely. Mr. Lindly was raised as a child and educated in the Canastota 
schools. 
  His wife, the former Gladys Hendrickson, died on July 26, 1980. 
  Prior to his retirement in 1974, with 46 years of service, Mr. Lindley was 
employed with the Peen Central Railroad. 
  He was a member of the Local No. 882 of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of 
Way employees, AFL-CIO and was of the Baptist faith. 
  Surviving are three sons and one daughter-in-law, Allen Lindley of Camden, 
Roy K. and Patricia Lindley Jr.of Lowville and Fread Lindely of Florida; 
three daughters and one son-in- law Darlene Lindley and Carol Price, both of 
Camden,and Joy and Robert Fay of Massena; 14 grandchildren; several great-
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
