  Ray W. Ebersold, 64, 17 Prospect Sr., died early this morning  at the Oneida City Hospital, after a 
long illness. 
  Born May 15, 1909 in Hornel, he was the son of the late William and Anna Ralsley Ebersold. He married 
the former Ida Towner June 8, 1928 in Avoca. He has been a resident of Oneida for the past 23 years. 
  Mr. Ebersold was employed for many years as a mechanic, having worked for Marshall and Houseman and 
Stickley Furniture, before his retirement two years ago. 
  He was a member of Oneida Owls Nest 1606 and Oneida Lodge No. 421, Loyal Order of the Moose. He was of 
the Protestant faith, 
  Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Carl, Rome, and Clair (Cookie) Ebersold of Oneida; four 
daughters, Mrs. Lorene Buell of Utica, Mrs. Bradley (Eloise) Stevens of Oneida, Mrs. David (Pauline) 
Skinner of Durhamville and Mrs. Betty Eaton of Sherrill; three brothers, Earl, Seneca Falls, Merritt of 
Caledonia, and Carl Ebersold of Lansing; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Leona) Hamlet of Oneida and Mrs. 
Eugene (Gladys) Rausch of Akron; 35 grandchildren, one great-grandson, several nieces and nephews.
