CANASTOTA - Samuel G. Patane, 86, of 3620 Seneca Turnpike, died Thursday Feb.
10, 2000, at the Presbyterian Home, New Hartford, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on March 7, 1913, in Avon, the son of Gregorio and Rosa Emmi
Patane.
Sam moved to Canastota as a young boy, attending the Canastota schools.
He had worked at Oneida Ltd. in Sherrill for 31 years, retiring on April 1,
1976.
Sam had been a member of the Oneida Ltd. bowling leagues.
He had been a member of St. Agatha's Church, Canastota.
Mr. Patane married Fannie Rinaldo on Nov. 16, 1935, in Oneida. Fannie died on
Feb. 23, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and David Panzica of
Oneida Castle and Rose Ann and Budd Yeman Sr. of Apollo Beach, Fla.; one
brother, James Patane of Rome; six grandchildren, Annette Cimini, Georgianna
"Gigi" (Yeman) Kegan, Mary Rose Cronk, Budd Yeman Jr., Niki Phillips and
Lynette Serianni; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
