  Oneida - Sheldon H. Loucy, 81, 322 Belmont Ave., died early Wednesday  
morning, Sept. 22, 1999, in the Stonehedge Nursing Home, Chittenango, where 
he had been a medical patient for the past two and one-half months. 
  He was born on Dec. 4, 1917, in Stockbridge, the son of Harry B. and 
Harriet Hazzard Loucy. He was raised and educated in Oneida, graduating  
from the Oneida High School. 
  Mr. Loucy first married Frances Tooke on July 9, 1947, in Towson, Md. She 
died on March 8, 1974. He later married Helen Mitchell Rickard on Jan. 14, 
1980, in Syracuse. 
  Prior to his retirement with 26 years of service, Mr. Lousy was employed 
with the Niagra-Mohawk Power Corp. as a customer service representative. 
  He was a member and chairman of the board of trustees of the Oneida Baptist
Church, a member of the United Electrical Workers, Local No. 310, a member 
for more than 40 years with the Oneida Citizens Hose Company No. 1, and was 
an avid fisherman of the West and Florida coasts. 
  Surviving are his wife, Helen; one son, Michael H. Loucy of Baldwinsville; 
two daughters and sons-in-law, kathleen and Richard LaCourse and Maureen  
and James Awad, all of Syracuse; one step-son and his wife, James "Bob" and 
Deborah Rickard of Oneida; two step-daughters and their husbands, Bonnie and 
Ronald Smith and Cynthia and Richard Relyea, all of Oneida; one cousin, 
Adelaide Peckham of Oneida, 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five
step-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild.
