  ROME - Shirley L. Leslie, 76, of 7075 John St., died Tuesday morning, Feb. 
15, 2000, in the Oneida Healthcare Center where she had been a medical 
patient for the past three days. 
  Mrs. Leslie was born on May 5, 1923, in Durhamville, the daughter of Earl 
W. and Hazel Robinson Richmond. She had been a lifelong resident of the 
Oneida and Munnsville area. 
  Mrs. Leslie was a graduate of the Stockbridge Valley High School. Mrs. 
Leslie was employed for several years as a machine operator with Thermold 
Plastics in Manlius, retiring July 30, 1987. 
  She was a Methodist. 
  Surviving are two sons, David L. Leslie of Syracuse and Harold A. Leslie of 
Rome; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Doris DeFrees of Kenwood, Alice 
and Frances Hoffman of Vernon, Elsie Brown of Vernon and Isabelle and James 
Schied of Canastota; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold "Butch" and 
Barbara Richmond of Vernon; one grandson, Phillip Donovan Leslie; and several
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Phillip W. Leslie, who 
died in 1969 in Vietnam.
