I am attempting to identify the birth date and birthplace for Nehemiah ANDREWS born 1743. Married Sarah (?) ca.1783 and had sons Allen,Ira,Chester,Asa and Issac. Asa and Issac married sisters Temperance and Martha PELTON (possibly of Sangersfield,NY). By 1795 this family had relocated to New Hartford,CT. All help greatly appreciated.

OSTRANDER, Alexander, died in April 1867 in Peterboro, Madison County NY. His grandson, Joseph Brainard OSTRANDER, was born in Eaton, Madison County NY Sept 30, 1830. Another grandson, Daniel Newcomb OSTRANDER was born in Eaton Oct 4, 1832. Daniel Newcomb OSTRANDER married Ermina BUCK and moved to the NW corner of Illinois in Whiteside County. Ann Elizabeth OSTRANDER, sister of Daniel N. and Joseph B., was born 1834 in Eaton and she married W. CROOKER. They moved to McHenry County Illinois. Another sister, Mary Electa OSTRANDER, was born 1836 in Eaton, and she married Mr. BAILEY asnd moved to McHenry County Illinois. All of these OSTRANDER families descend from Johannes OSTRANDER and Maria WESTFALL from Dutches County. I am attempting to locate descendants of other Ostrander lines that are from Peterboro and Eaton.

Looking for any of the firstname Joseph, born 4-14-1826, in or near Plattsburgh. Had older brother and sisters. Ran away from home in 1829. Parents were French; Joseph spoke French. Joseph married prior to 1864 to a PA woman. Shows up in Lycoming Co. 1870 census, married with a small son; worked in lumbering. He then changed his surname (from whatever he was born as) to Ramer/Reamore/Raymore/Raemore. (Family name is Raemore now.) Tradition says he was born as Duclos, Baliou (or other spelling), or Grossjean. This man is confusing, and if anybody can help, I would appreciate it. ANY clues would be helpful. Thank you.

I am trying to trace the ancestry of my 4th great-grandmother Mercy PALMER. She was married to William HEMPSTEAD. They moved from Stonington, CT to Brookfield Township, Madison County, NY sometime around 1815 and had moved on to Onondaga County by 1830. I believe that "Mercy" may be the Mary PALMER who was daughter of Simeon PALMER of Stonington, CT (died May 1805) and his second wife Elizabeth DENNIS. This Mary had a sister named Frances PALMER. A Madison County deed dated September 17, 1817 in which William HEMPSTEAD, his wife Mercy PALMER sell land, lists Elizabeth and Frances PALMER as witnesses. Has anyone come across Elizabeth (DENNIS) PALMER, Frances PALMER, or Mary (Mercy) PALMER in their research?

I am trying to connect a Charles Saylor, born Dec 24, 1786, Sprinfield, Burlington Co. NJ. He moved to Canada around 1810 from Dutchess County. A fairly reliable source states that he came from "Dutchess County". He was a Quaker. A number of Quakers came to prince Edward County, Ontario. Charles either came with them or married into them in Canada in 1812. I have a fairly complete geneaology of Saylor's in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. There are 3 Saylors mentioned in the 1790 Census for Ulster Co. They are: Zachariah Saylor, Mamakating Town. Abraham saylor, Marbletown Daniel saylor, Rochester Town. I'm seeking any references to the MEDLAR surname prior to 1800. I'm specially interested in in the possibility that this family might have adopted this surname after having emigrated from the Netherlands in the late 1700's. I have heard several stories about some members of the family having had information about this, including the original Dutch surname.
The oldest records we got mention a Zachariah Medlar, circa 1790. Other family stories makes the Medlar family owners of what is today Trinity Church, in lower Manhattan - during the times of the Dutch colony. Unfortunately nobody remembers now. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Betsy COON was born abt 1786 and some sources indicate Rhode Island, however she is not listed in Arnolds' Vital Records. Looking for information on Hiram Hall and Albro Hall who lived in Sullivan 1840-1860. The two men are on the same page in the 1840 census. I think that means they were neighbors and may be related. Hiram married Maria Haight from Fenner in 1837, had 3 children, Lucy, Charles, and Annie.
