KENNEDY

Tracing decendents of John & Anna Kennedy who died in Sullivan, Madison Co and are buried in West Quality Hill Cemetery. John died Aug. 28, 1851 and Anna died Feb 17, 1820. According to a family bible there was also a son, David Kennedy who died iin Sullivan on May 11, 1850, but I cannot find a cemetery record for him. Another son, Harvey Kennedy was born June 21, 1812 in Norway, Herkimer Co and subsequently migrated to Michigan. Harvey is my great great grandfather and this information was kept in a family bible by his daughter, Mina (Kennedy) Mitchell, my great grandmother. We believe the family migrated first from Halfmoon, Saratoga Co; then to Norway, Herkimer Co; then to Sullivan, Madison Co. where the parents died and some of the living children subsequently moved to Michigan, possibly by working on the Erie Canal. We have an extensive listing of the children of John & Anna (13 in all) including their names, dates of birth and dates of death, if anyone thinks they may be a decendent or can provide any information, please e-mail me.
