FOSDICK - COLVIN

Siobhan Underwood Mon Sep 10 11:30:59 2001
I am doing research on my house that was built in 1830 and found that in 1857 the owners were listed on a deed of sale as Frederick DUNHAM and his wife "late Kate FOSDICK".
In 1853, the tax map shows a T FOSDICK living in or owning this house. There is no T FOSDICK listed elsewhere in Cazenovia, so perhaps it is a typo. An Edward FOSDICK and John FOSDICK lived here. And FOSDICK and Eliakim ROBERTS purchased 86 acres here in 1816.
The 1852 tax map shows a Mary COLVIN in the house.
If anyone has any information -- particularly an address! I would greatly appreciate it. I would be happy to share the deed of sale I copied from the County Clerk's Office in Wampsville showing Kate FOSDICK's name on it as the owner. I also have gathered a lot of other information about the FOSDICKs in this area -- ie. the deeds of sale, that I would be happy to share if anyone needs it.
thanks in advance.
Siobhan Underwood
