DAVIDSON-IRWIN--In this city, on the 24 inst., by Ald. JORDON, Joseph A. DAVIDSON and Elizabeth IRWIN, both of this city.

KINGSBURY- In Granger, Alleghany county, Feb. 28th, of consumption, at the residence of his father, Samuel KINGSBURY, Mr. R. W. KINGSBURY, aged 34 years.
Mr. KINGSBURY had for many years possessed a hope in the Savior and was a worthy member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. He leaves a large circle of relatives to mourn their irreparable loss.
    How calm, how peaceful was the closing scene,
      As friends did gather round thy dying bed;
    And was it death, or but a pleasant dream
      Of the pure land to which the spirit fled?

    Yes our brother has gone to the land of the blest,
      His sweet voice we no longer shall hear;
    Home's circle is sadly bereft,
      When a mother's dear Ralph is not here.
