manner. The condition of the woman was such as to need a husband's protection.

MARRIED
In Chili, on the 21st last, by Rev. C. HAMMOND, of Rochester, Mr. Alonzo HANDY and Matilda H. GRAVES, daughter
of Charles and Cordelia GRAVES.
We understand that our friends above mentioned had a very pleasant and happy time on the occasion. The representatives
of four generations were there, to rejoice in the premonitory symptoms of a fifth. We have been furnished with
a splendid Cake, surmounted by a Dove, the purity of which has been, and the peacefulness of which, we trust, will
be an emblem of the life of her whose fair fingers formed it, and whose fate is now linked to that of one of the
Handy-est young men of our acquaintance.
On the 21st last, by the Rev. O. C. PAYNE, Mr. Wm. W. HUBBELL, to Miss Clarissa A. FISH, all of this city.
