Kidnapped Boys - The Commercial notices the arrest in Buffalo of a man named PECK, who had with him four boys, Frank WALL, Valentine STAUB, Jos. MILLER and Christian WINNIE. The boys on being questioned, said they had been enticed away from their homes without the consent of their parents, and were all under the age of eighteen. The clerk informed Mr. PECK that the boys must be returned home, and compelled him to buy each a ticket. After doing so he was told that he was under arrest and also a man by the name of CALVIN, who appeared to be his partner. They were sent before Provest Marshal SCROGGS, who after giving PECK a severe lecture discharged him under certain conditions. PECK and CALVIN, as well as the boys, belong in Rochester.

Creditable To Our City - Memory does not afford an instance when the sidewalks were so promptly and thoroughly cleared of snow or paths made after a heavy snow storm, as they were yesterday. The credit is in part due to Mr. BUTLER, the Supt., who was active in doing that part of the work belonging to the city and infusing life into those who have a duty to perform. Very few neglected to open their paths so far as we can hear. If the Supt. would make a note of the number of each residence where the walks are not cleared of snow and hand it to the Assessors, they will be sure to find from three to five dogs at those places to be taxed.
