SENTENCED - In the U. S. Court at Auburn, yesterday, James M. GOULD
pleaded guilty to counterfeiting and was sentenced to Erie Co.
Penitentiary for three months and the paying a fine of $300, to stand
committed until paid.
Horace H. GOULD pleaded guilty to the same charge and was sentenced to
the Monroe Co. Penitentiary three months and to pay a fine of $350, to
stand committed until paid.
Elias REYNOLDS, pleaded guilty to the same charge and was sentenced to
pay a fine of $400 and be imprisoned in the Monroe Co. Penitentiary for
the space of 14 days.
The jury in the case of Daniel W. SWEET, on trial for counterfeiting
reported that they could not agree on a verdict and were discharged.

REPORTED ROBBED - Thomas PHELAM from Avon, visited a "hole" in
Buffalo street last evening and was there relieved of about $85 by a man
who was pretending to be a friend to him. No arrests.
