DEATH AT BATH
Demise of Mr. George E. KNIGHT, a Prominent Citizen
Bath, N. Y., March 17 - George E. KNIGHT, druggist, died in this village this
morning of typhoid fever, aged about 35 years. Deceased was a member of the
Bath Masonic bodies, Rescue Hook and Ladder company and Stomer's Commandery of
Elmira. He was highly esteemed by all.

DEATHS AND FUNERALS
--The death of John SCHWEITZER occurred at his home, 281 Brown street,
yesterday. The deceased was seventy-five years of age, and was one of our
best known German citizens. He was born September 8, 1808, in Kehl(?), in
the Grand Duchy of Baden, and after immigrating to this country, he settled
near the Mohawk Valley, at Schoharie, in 1832, where he lived but three
months before coming to Rochester. Up to two years ago he was employed as a
pattern maker for the Central Railroad Company, holding that position for
thirty-five years. He was also the active agent of the German Staats Zeitung
of New York, for which he s_n-ed a large circulation in this city. Mr.
SCHWEITZER was connected with Sts. Peter's and Paul's Church, and also
prominent in Genesee Lodge of the He_an Lochne, a benevolent insurance
society. His last illness was the result of erysipelas. The funeral will
take place at the house Saturday afternoon at two o'clock.
--Mrs. Michael BURKE of 6_ Orchard street, died yesterday at the age of
twenty-two years.
--The remains of Herbert S. ROGERS, who died in Minneapolis, reached this
city this morning and were interred at Mt. Hope.
--Stephen REILLY died at St. Mary's Hospital yesterday. The funeral was held
at the institution this morning.
--The death of Leonard DORSCHEL of Nassau street occurred yesterday at the
age of thirty-seven years. The funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's
Church to-morrow morning.
--Mrs. Mary DEMPSEY died at her home, 28 Phelps avenue, yesterday, aged
fifty-three years. Funeral services will be held at half-past eight at the
house, and at nine o'clock at the Cathedral to-morrow morning.
--Fannie A. WRIGHT died at 7 1/2 West Smith street Tuesday at the age of
sixteen years. Funeral at the house to-morrow afternoon.
--Angeline, wife of William BOORDMAN died in Minneapolis yesterday at the
age of fifty-two years. She was a daughter of M. M. THURSTON, of Gates, and
a sister of Mrs. M. E. SERVIS, of this city.
