Training school for nurses to be established in connection with the City
Hospital will be opened December 1st. Young women must make both written
and personal application, and will receive printed forms to fill out upon making
request of Mrs. H.S. SIBLEY, 214 East avenue, for them.
Deaths and Funerals
Florence DOLBIER died yesterday at her home, 18 Arthur Place, aged 19 years.
Harrison, son of John HAULT, died last night at the family residence, 18 Fulton
street. The funeral will take place at 2:30 p.m. to-morrow.
Margaret, wife of Frank DREXLER, died yesterday at the family residence, 64
Pennsylvania avenue. The funeral will take place at 8 a.m. to-morrow from
St. Francis Xavier Church.
William KELLY, died yesterday at his home, 628 North street, aged 77 years.
The funeral will take place to-morrow morning at half-past 8 o'clock from the
house and at 9 from St. Bridget's Church.
Zimri L. DAVIS, for many years one of the best known residents of this city,
died yesterday at the family residence, No. 11 Pleasant street, at the age of 69
years. He had been failing rapidly for a year and his final illness,
congestion of the brain, was of brief duration. The deceased was born in
Victor, and after his graduation from the Canandaigua Academy studied law in
this city with Isaac HILLS. He finished his studies with General MATTHEWS, who
accompanied him to Canandaigua, where he was admitted to the bar at the head of
his class. With Washington GIBBONS he opened an office in Reynolds' Arcade
in 1847, afterward associating with ex-Police Justice John WEGMAN. During
the war he was a partner with the late James C. CAMPBELL and had extensive
practice in connection with pensions and other cases arising therefrom.
For the past twenty-five years he conducted the law business individually in
Reynolds' Arcade, being the oldest tenant save one--Chauncey PERRY. He
leaves a wife, one son, Justin B. DAVIS of the waterworks department and two
daughters, Lora and Mattie Davis. The funeral will take place at the house
at 11 o'clock to-morrow morning. The burial will be at Victor, N.Y.

DIED
WOODS--At the City Hospital, Tuesday, November 12, 1889 John W. WOODS, aged 78
years. Funeral from St. Andrews Church, Friday morning at 10
o'clock. Friends invited.
HOULT--In this city, Thursday, Nov. 14, 1889, Harrison J. HOULT, son of John and
Florence L. HOULT, aged 10 months. Funeral on Friday afternoon at 2:30
from the house, No. 18 Fulton street. Friends of the family invited to
attend.
