Miss Nellie Wright, aged 25 years, died Friday afternoon, January 26, 1900. Funeral will take place to-morrow afternoon
at 3:30 from her home, 8 Rogers avenue.
Mrs. Amanda C. Wilson, aged 81 years, died at 9:30 o'clock January 27, 1900 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs.
H. G. Cushman, 328 Plymouth avenue. Widow of the late Colin G. Wilson, deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs.
E. C. Cushman and Mrs. H. G. Cushman, and one son, Byron D. Wilson. Mrs. Wilson came to Rochester in 1840, and
was a resident of this city ever since that time. She was the daughter of Austin Cross.
Gates--John Durkin, aged 61 years, died at the family residence in the town of Gates on January 26, 1900.
Thomas Sampson, aged 81 years, died at his home, 5 Jones street, on Friday, January 26, 1900. Funeral from the
Chapel of the First Methodist Church on Sunday at 3 p.m.
A dispatch has been received by the police of this city from an undertaker in Jersey City, N.J., stating that he
had the body of William Hamm, whose wife and mother, he said, lived on Canal street in this city. Officers were
sent out to canvass Canal street, but they could find no one of the name of Hamm living on the street. The residence
of the only William Hamm given in the directory is at 224 South Fitzhugh street. This man's sister stated to a
reporter who called there that her brother had been away from home two days.
Mrs. Julia Gable died suddenly this morning at the family residence, No. 26 Hague street, aged 46 years. She had
been a sufferer from heart disease for several years. Coroner Kleindienst was notified of the case and he granted
a certificate of death from heart disease.
Mary Kane, the 5-months-old daughter of James and Julia Kane, died suddenly this morning at the family residence,
which is situated in the rear of No. 69 Broadway. Coroner Kleindienst was notified of the death. A post mortem
examination was made by East Side Coroner's Physician Huber this afternoon.
Joseph Otto died last evening at the family residence, No. 91 Chatham street, aged 51 years. Mr. Otto was a salesman
in the employ of the Rochester Distilling Company. He suffered a stroke of apoplexy on Monday afternoon, which
was the immediate cause of death. The deceased is survived by six sons, Edward, Joseph, Henry, Frank, John and
Charles Otto; three daughters, Elizabeth, Mamie and Blanche Otto, and one sister, Mrs. George Rochner of Buffalo.
