Wayland--William Walker, died very suddenly Sunday evening. At the time of his death he was returning from the Methodist Church, where he had been attending the evening services. John A. Bennett, who was also returning from the same church, overtook him, and noticing that he was walking more slowly than usual, said to him: "William, you are not going very fast." Mr. Walker replied and said that the snow bothered him about getting along. Mr. Bennett walked along with him for a few steps when Mr. Walker said to him that he wished he had a drink of water. Mr. Bennett went across the road to get him a drink, and Mr. Walker sat down on the sidewalk to wait for his return. Mr. Bennett was gone only a few seconds, but when he returned Mr. Walker said to him "John, I guess you are too late," and immediately died.
