OBITUARY.

Mrs. Charles HIBBARD.
PALMYRA, May 11. — Mrs. Charles HIBBARD died at her residence on Vienna street last evening, aged about 48 years. Deceased is survived by two sons and five daughters, James and Arthur, and Mrs. Gilbert WESTFALL, Mrs. Lawrence FORBES, Mrs. Arthur SMITH, Ruth and Secola.

PHELPS, May 11. — Harry A. WESTON, aged 20, died at the home of his parents, two miles east of Phelps last evening. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, Frank and James; also three sisters, Eva, Nellie and Lillian. The cause of his death was typhoid pneumonia. Funeral Sunday afternoon at the Oaks Corners Church.

Free Delivery for Lyons.
LYONS, May 11. — This vicinity is to have rural free mail delivery commencing either June 1st or 15th. There will be three mail carriers — Daniel E. ENGEL, Henry J. BOURNE and Elmer E. BARCLAY. The first route has 157 houses and will be served by Mr. ENGEL. The second route has 125 houses and will be served by Mr. BOURNE, while the third route has 123 houses, which Mr. BARCLAY will serve. The Alloway postoffice will be abolished and also mail routes between Lyons and Alloway, Lyons and South Sodus and Wayne Center.

Deaths and Funerals — The Methodists
DANSVILLE, May 11. — The funeral of Sherman DEMERY, who was smothered in the American Hotel fire at Geneseo, was held here yesterday afternoon. James SHERMAN died at his home on Lincoln avenue, Wednesday of pneumonia. He was 38 years of age and came here from Erie, Pa., some time since to work in the marble shop of WORDEN Bros. He leaves a wife and two children. Funeral on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The remains of the infant of Mr. and Mrs. T.F. COULTRY were brought here from Auburn and buried in the family lot Wednesday.

Dr. F.M. PENINE has traded his vineyard situated on the hillside east of this village to a Buffalo party named SAUNDERS for two residences in Rochester.

Miss Helena HOFFMAN of this place has sailed for Germany and will remain abroad a year, visiting the Paris Exposition.

The Coterie, Danville's literary society, will close for the season next Monday night — meeting with Mrs. McNAIR.

The third quarterly meeting of the M.E. Church will be held next Sunday. In the evening will be held the eleventh anniversary of the Epworth League. A special programme is being arranged including an address by Rev. Dr. E.H. LATIMER of LeRoy.

Death of James DOREY.
CHURCHVILLE, May 11. — Yesterday at his home occurred the death of James DOREY, Sr., after a short illness. Death resulted from dropsy. Deceased, when 20 years of age, came up to this country from Ireland and had resided here ever since. He was 67 years old, and besides his wife, out of a family of eleven children, eight survive him. Funeral Sunday.

The Churchville high school will hold its commencement exercises on June 19th. Hon. James M.E. O'GRADY will deliver an address.

Joseph GATES, who is employed at the Denins stave mills, nearly had the second finger of his right hand severed by coming in contact with a swing say.

ROCKETT — At Buffalo, on May 10, 1900, Thomas ROCKETT, aged 45 years. The remains arrived here this afternoon and were taken to the residence of his brother 4 Emmett street.

Death of Josiah STORY.
NAPLES, May 11. — The death of Josiah STORY, senior member of the shoe firm of J. & L. STORY, occurred yesterday. Mr. STORY was born in Naples 72 years ago and this had always been his home. He leaves a wife, one son, Stephen, of Naples, a daughter, Mrs. Dewey CRITTENDEN of Rochester, a brother, Lester, with whom he was associated in business for about fifty years, and one sister, Mrs. J.D. PATTERSON of Canandaigua, N.Y.

John A. GIBSON of Albion formerly a prominent farmer of Barre, died yesterday after a short illness. He leaves a wife and one son, Charles M. GIBSON.

Avoca News Notes.
AVOCA, May 11. — L(unreadable) SHARP, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. M.R. SHARP, died at Big Creek Saturday evening aged 5 years, of diphtheria.

Cards are out announcing the marriage of Miss Maude Hees COOLBAUGH to Morgan S. GROVER, both of Avoca to take place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.B. COOLBAUGH, May 24th, at 4:30 p.m.

The fire department was called but to extinguish a small blaze in the large mill of ?.G. CONKLIN yesterday afternoon. The estimated loss is about $?00.00.

BASKET BALL IN ALBION.
Two Teams Composed of Young Ladies Contest for the Mastery.
ALBION, May 11. — A public game of basket ball was played at Village Hall last evening by the young ladies belonging to Albion's two teams.
The audience was large and very enthusiastic. The members of the teams with their captains follow: Miss Katherine HUNT, captain, Misses Gettie MATTINSON, Buenna HOY, Hattie ENGLISH, Ella BOUCK; Miss Beatrice SIGNOR, captain, Misses Laura ENGLISH, Dorothy SIGNOR, Leila ?NDERDONK, Bessie SHEA. Miss Helen A. DAVIS of Rochester acted as coach. The score was 11 to 6 in favor of Miss SIGNOR's side. The team work was excellent, passing well. Miss SIGNOR's playing was fine, her goal throwing being especially good. She made three points on fouls. Four fouls were called. The game was played on fifteen minute halves.

JOHN A. TEUBERT.
Death of an Old Employee of Central Railroad.
John A. TUEBERT, an old and respected employee of the New York Central railroad, died yesterday at the City Hospital, aged 59 years. He was born in Germany and came to Rochester with his family in 1855. From 1861 until a few years ago he was connected with the Central road as a gateman and emigrant agent. The remains were removed to the family residence, No. 384 Clinton avenue, north. Deceased is survived by three daughters, Miss Margaret TEUBET and Mrs. Catherine WIRTH of this city, and Mrs. Charles W. PARDEE of Penfield.

Mrs. Bridget BYRNES.
The death of Mrs. Bridget BYRNES, widow of Patrick BYRNES, occurred this morning at the family residence, No. 33 Reynolds street, aged 74 years. Mrs. BYRNES was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church for a period of 49 years. She possessed a host of friends all of whom will read the announcement of her death with sincere regret. The funeral will be held from the house at 8:30 o'clock Monday morning and at 9 o'clock from the Immaculate Conception Church.

Mrs. Elizabeth KAST.
Mrs. Elizabeth KAST died last evening at the family residence, No. 31 North Washington street, after a long illness. She had resided in Rochester for the past eighteen years and was a member of the Lake Avenue Baptist Church. Deceased is survived by her husband, one son, C.N. KAST of this city, and a brother, William SCHACHTEL of Utica.

— James McKEON died yesterday afternoon at the family residence, No. 9 Ward street, aged 65 years. Deceased is survived by one son, Peter F., and two daughters, Margaret M. McKEON and Mrs. John B. GRAVES. The funeral will be held from the house at 8:30 o'clock to-morrow morning and at 9 o'clock from St. Bridget's Church.
— Mrs. Dolly BUTLER ALLEN, widow of the late Hiram C. ALLEN, died yesterday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. M. N.? PARKS, No. 113 Gregory street, aged 77 years. The funeral will be held from the house at 2:30 o'clock to-morrow afternoon.
— Viera A., infant daughter of Joseph and the late Minnie GUTBERTLET, died yesterday at the residence of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George SAMPSON, No. 13 Whitmore park.

A WIFE'S COMPLAINT.
Charged Her Husband, from Whom She is Separated, With Annoying Her.
Thomas HAYD, who was charged with annoying his wife, was released in police court to-day. He promised that he would not annoy her again.

The couple have not been living together since August last and there is an action for separation now pending in Supreme Court. Richard L. SAUNDERS is attorney for the wife. It is claimed that HAYD was (in) the habit of annoying his wife in various ways. Some time ago he struck her a blow in the mouth, it is claimed and loosened two of her teeth.

ALLOWED CHILD TO BEG.
Organ-Grinder Arrested and Child Sent to the Shelter to be Cared For.
Pasquale PADALAU, an Italian hand-organ grinder, was arraigned in the Police Court to- day on a charge of violating a section of the Penal Code relating to allowing children to beg. He has been going around the city for some time. He had with him his 12-year-old daughter. She does the collecting. The case was put over till to-morrow. The arrest of the organ grinder was made by Humane Agent HEBBARD. The child was sent to the Shelter.

HAS SON ARRESTED.
Boy Sent to the Shelter to Await Examination in Police Court.
John DRITCHEL, 14 years of age, is at the Shelter where he is held on a charge of annoying his father. The latter swore out a warrant for the boy's arrest yesterday and he was taken into custody last night and sent to the Shelter. The family lives on Hebbard street and the father alleges that the boy has for some time refused to work and has been in the habit of annoying him in various ways.
