CHARGED WITH THEFT
Clinton BOVEE of Oakland Placed Under Arrest.
NUNDA, Aug. 12 - Clinton BOVEE of Oakland was arrested by Officer NELSON last Saturday on a charge of petit larceny.
Last June Mrs. William STOCKING of Oakland gave her son a gold watch. Not long afterward the youth, with several
of his companions, was in bathing in the creek near here.
Young STOCKING missed his watch when he put on his clothing. BOVEE, one of the boys, was suspected of taking the
watch, and Mr. STOCKING obtained a search warrant from Justice OLNEY. The house of Irene THATCHER of this place
was searched, as it was alleged that BOVEE left the watch there. The timepiece was found, and Saturday BOVEE was
placed under arrest. As the watch was stolen in the town of Portage the case will have a hearing before Justice
LITTLE of Oakland.
